At the heart of the Spinal Flow Technique is one core understanding: the spine never lies.

Every experience you've ever had — every injury, every heartbreak, every period of overwhelm, every time you pushed yourself past your limits — is recorded somewhere in your body. Not just as a memory in your mind, but as a physical imprint in your spine and nervous system.

The spine is the channel through which life force energy — the intelligent, healing energy you were born with — flows to every organ, cell, and system in your body.

When that flow is unobstructed, you feel it: energy, ease, vitality and the ability to heal naturally from the inside out.

When that flow is blocked — by physical stress, emotional stress, or chemical stress — the body begins to speak up. Pain. Tension. Dis-ease. These are not problems to be silenced. They are messages asking to be heard.

What Causes a Blockage?

Blockages form from the accumulation of three types of stress and most of us are carrying all three:

● Physical Stress — falls, accidents, repetitive movement patterns, poor posture built up over years, childbirth, sport, surgery and the daily demands of a body that rarely gets to fully rest.

● Emotional Stress — the grief that was never fully felt, the anger that was swallowed, the relationships that cost more than they gave, the years of putting everyone else first.

● Chemical Stress — the food the body struggles to process, the environmental toxins absorbed without realising, the medications that accumulate over time.

When any of these stresses cannot be processed and released, the body stores them. And where does it store them? Right in the spine — in what the Spinal Flow Technique identifies as the spinal gateways.

The 7 Gateways — Where Your Story Lives

Think of your spine as a map of your life.

The Spinal Flow Technique works with the seven specific regions along the spine — Gateways — where blockages most commonly form and where Life Force Energy can either flow freely or become obstructed.

Each gateway corresponds to a different part of the body and a different theme in life; The Base Gateway, at the base of the spine, relates to survival, safety, and the ability to rest. The Power Gateway, in the lower back, holds personal power and digestive function. The Centre Gateway, in the thoracic spine, guards the heart — often hardening after years of unprocessed emotion. The Passion Gateway, in the neck and throat, stores the things that were never said — the boundaries not spoken, the truth not expressed. And the Pause Gateway, at the very top of the spine where the brain meets the body, is where the mind can become so busy that it loses its connection downward entirely.

When a gateway is blocked, energy cannot move freely through that region. The body compensates. Other areas work harder. And over time, what began as a whisper becomes a shout.

The Body Does Not Lie

When your lower back locks up every time you're under pressure at work, that's not a coincidence. When your shoulders creep up toward your ears every time you're overwhelmed, that's your body speaking a language it has been using your whole life. When headaches arrive after periods of intense stress or emotional load, the nervous system is trying to communicate.

The body doesn't create these signals to punish you. It creates them to reach you.

Using precise touch at 33 access points along the spine, that touch lightly communicates with the nervous system's innate intelligence — not forcing change but inviting it. Creating the conditions of safety in which the body can finally let go of what it has been holding.
